Materials required to make Watermelon themed Handmade wall hanging with Ice cream sticks
- Popsicle sticks
- Glue
- Black color Sketch Pen
- Satin ribbon/Wool
- Satin Ribbon flower or Crochet flower or you can use any other decoration like foam flower or quilled flowers
Step by Step tutorial on how to make wall hanging with Popsicle sticks
Here is a step by step instructions (with pictures) tutorial on how you can make watermelon themed wall hanging using popsicle sticks.
Step 1: Take around 12 popsicle sticks, paint 9 of them in red color and paint other three sticks with green colour. Keep them aside for a while.
Step 2: Take black sketch pen and draw seeds on all the popsicle sticks as shown in the pic below.
Step 3: Now stick them together to give a complete look like a watermelon, keep all nine red-colored popsicle sticks next to each other and green sticks on both extremes and at the bottom (as shown below) and paste them together.
Step 4 : Now as your wall hanging is ready you need to stick the satin ribbon to hang the wall hanging as shown in the below picture. To make it more colorful/interesting you can stick a satin flower on the left top portion of the wall hanging.
Step 5 : Alternatively you can stick a wool thread to hang the wall hanging and a crochet flower on left top portion of the wall hanging (as shown below).
Your beautiful watermelon themed wall hanging from popsicle sticks is ready. You can paste a family pic or pic of your little one on it and use it a photo frame. Go ahead and hang it in your home. These small touches and additions are excellent for home décor.
