Here is a step by step instructions (with pictures) tutorial on how you can make rakhi with foam sheet and beads.
Step 1 – Take around 4 to 5 cm long rectangular foam sheet cut out. Make sure its bright and colorful. On both edges of the foam sheet with the help of a punching machine make two holes as shown in the below picture.
Step 2 – Now take a satin ribbon (preferably which matches with the foam sheet ). Take the desired length of the satin ribbon/Woolen thread, put it through the hole and make a knot. Repeat this on both sides as shown in the below picture.
Step 3 – Now we need to make our DIY Rakhi more colorful and attractive by adding bright beads to the satin ribbon/thread (as shown below ). Now with the help of designer scissor cut both the edges of the foam sheet of the design of your choice.ÂÂ
Step 4 – At this point, its left to your imagination to decorate the Rakhi. To give it a nicer look you can add few contrast color stone stickers of different shapes on the foam sheet.
Note - One more variation with different colors of beads and stickers.
