DIY Satin Ribbon Rakhi |Homemade Rakhi with satin ribbon

Materials required to make DIY Homemade Rakhi with satin ribbon

  • Colored Satin ribbons
  • Needle and thread
  • Felt sheet
  • Beads
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors

Step by Step tutorial on how to make DIY Satin Rakhi

Here is a step by step instructions (with pictures) tutorial on how you can make rakhi with satin ribbon.

Step 1 –Take a satin ribbon. Cut it into equal sized pieces. From a felt sheet cut a small circle (shown below).

Step 2 – Fold the satin ribbon from both the ends and paste them in the middle with the help of hot glue gun (shown below).


Step 3 – Paste and arrange all the satin ribbon folded pieces on to the circle cut out (as shown in the picture).

Note – Paste the folded pieces to make a flower.

Step 4 – Paste any bead or button of your choice at the middle of satin flower.

Step 5 – Paste the satin ribbon flower on to a long ribbon or thick thread to make a Rakhi.

Note – To give it a nicer look you can insert two beads at both sides of the rakhi.
