Books are the best companions. Isn’t it? I always love to carry a book when I travel and love to go through it as and when I get time. Sometimes books act as stress buster for me and sometimes the best option to have some “me” time.

Our recent purchase is a book “The Gruffalo.” by Julia Donaldson Popular Children classic and one of the best books recommended for toddlers and preschoolers.
Me and my kid both love the book and thus would love to share my reviews with you all.

The Gruffalo – Story
The story starts with a mouse who meets many big animals when roaming around in a jungle. All these animals want to eat him and invite him for a tea or lunch.
But the mouse is quite clever and he depicts a picture of a wild animal (his imagination Gruffalo) in front of other animals and forces them to hide themselves in their homes.
And a twist comes into the story when mouse actually faces his own imagination in reality.
At last who wins and roams freely in a jungle, for this you need to read the book.

I recently bought this book for my 3 year old kid and we both are in love with this book.
This book has no negative message, words or sentences.
What is the book about ?
The book is about the small animal “Mouse” who with his smart and witty decisions saves his life from other big creatures who wanted to eat him. The coversations between the animals are quite funny and interesting like “Owl Ice-cream”, “Scrambled Snake” etc.
What does the book teach?
If you are smart enough and quick in decision making then no matter how big or small you are, you can defeat others and can save your life.
Is it slow or fast?
The book has a good flow. Any time during the story reading you or your kid can’t get bored.
How are the illustrations?
The book has fantastic illustrations by Alex Scheffler. Illustrations of book are quite good and eye catchy. As the story moves in a jungle the other details inside the jungle are well explained through pictures. Other minute details like log piles, cones lying around, mushrooms etc. are very well illustrated.
Will you recommend it to others?
Yes, I recommend it to others. It is really a good story and kids love to go through it.
Will you read it again?
Yes. currently we are reading the book daily. I personally love to read it with my kid.
A must read book for kids thus, I highly recommend this book for kids of age 3 and above.
