- Foam sheets
- Scissors
- Glue/Glue gun/Fevicol (any adhesive)
Step by step tutorial on how to make Spiral roses
Take yellow foam sheet. Cut a circle shape out of foam sheet. Start with this circle piece of craft foam cut out. The size of the foam circle will determine the size of spiral rose, so it you want to make big roses cut out a bigger circle otherwise we can use a smaller circle .
Draw a spiral design the foam piece using a pencil. Don’t make dark drawings otherwise it will show on the flower. Draw spiral design very lightly. Then start cutting along the spiral design. Start cutting from the outer edge and work inwards.
Note – we can keep the centre of the spiral larger as it will form base of the rose flower.
Apply a good amount of white glue (Fevicol or using Glue gun) on the lower edge of the spiral. This will form the base of the flower where we will soon be sticking the rolled rose flower.
Start rolling the spiral keeping the inner edges intact and in a line. Be careful the shape of the rose flower depends on the spiral only and how we fold it.
Keep rolling and then the glue the last remaining part of the flower as shown, such that it becomes the bottom of the rose.
